We always provide the best bait for the fishing style that is providing the most action at the time. Some times that means live bait, some times that means dead bait, some times that means artificial bait. If we need live bait, the Captain will stop to either throw a cast net, or to catch them on a bait rod. This usually takes 30 minutes or less but on difficult days it can take longer. Most of the bait only stays lively for 5 or 6 hours so we cannot catch it ahead of time. The reason we have to catch bait during your charter is that the bait needs to be as fresh and lively as possible. Old and nearly dead bait does not catch fish as well as lively bait. Yes the bait catching process does count on your fishing time.
We clean any fish that does not pose a potential health hazard. In cases of lion fish or other species that have toxins, we will provide a place for you to clean your catch or return the fish to you whole.
We will alert you of potential weather issues prior to the trip. Your safety is our utmost concern and If the captain determines that the weather has deteriorated and your safety is in jeopardy, they will end the trip. Once the charter has been initiated, the trip has been fulfilled and no refund will be offered. The captain at their sole discretion may offer to reschedule or make up missed time.
We offer full refunds for trips that are cancelled 7 days prior to the trip. We will reschedule your trip if cancelled less than 7 days but greater than 48 hours prior to the trip.
